Thanking the German police

Mayor Harald Scheucher had warm words of thank you for the German police officers who were on duty in Klagenfurt during the EURO. Scheucher gave a reception for the police in Loretto mansion.

Both Scheucher and Regional Police Commander Wolfgang Rauchegger stressed the good cooperation and the friendly atmosphere among the police officers. “Our cooperation has proven to be successful; the safety and security concept worked out well”, Scheucher said and presented officer-in-charge Walter Kemper with four holiday vouchers for 2 people each for a long weekend in Klagenfurt. The vouchers will be given away in a lottery to the members of the three groups of hundred and the special task force who were on duty in Klagenfurt. In addition, each member of the police force received a Klagenfurt watch from the Mayor, as an expression of gratitude and souvenir.
Governor Jörg Haider expressed the gratitude of the province.
