During the European Football Championship, an attractive and extensive programme will be provided in the two fan zones in Klagenfurt.
The fan zone programme for the duration of the EURO was presented by Stefan Petschnig, the responsible coordinator, and Manfred Pock, the head of the organisation committee.

There are two fan zones in the Host City of Klagenfurt, namely one at the Exhibition Grounds and one directly on Neuer Platz. The fan zones will be open from 6th June until 29th June. "The Exhibition Grounds fan zone will be open daily from 9am until midnight and the Neuer Platz fan zone will be open from 11am until midnight", says Petschnig. The fan zone at the Exhibition Grounds provides room for approximately 25,000 people and has a large stage with an integrated 60 square metre video wall. About 3,000 square metres are available for the fan zone on Neuer Platz. "Approximately 6,000 people can party here to their hearts' content", says Petschnig who also stressed that there will also be an exclusive VIP area on Neuer Platz.

During the 15 days there will be 20 concerts with free admission in the fan zones. "Of course, also the matches will be broadcast in the fan zones", Petschnig underlines. On the days without matches there will be concerts. Petschnig is convinced that "sport and music will create a peaceful atmosphere among the fans". Big names on the agenda in Klagenfurt include "Liquido" (22nd June), "Sportfreunde Stiller" (12th June) and Christina Stürmer (28th June). In the fan zones there will be something for everyone!
