Large EURO gala in Berlin. The Austrian Host Cities presented themselves in the German capital.
The Austrian Economic Chamber and the Austrian Ambassador in Berlin, Dr. Christian Prosl, invited 200 guests to the gala at the Austrian Embassy. Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck and Klagenfurt informed the attendants about the preparations for the Championship matches and the programme planned for guests. The cities presented themselves with culinary delicacies.
The interest of media representatives from all German states was great.

Klagenfurt's Mayor represented the Carinthian capital together with EURO ambassador Reiner Calmund in Berlin. "We have the most beautiful stadium of the European Championship and are looking forward to welcoming the German team twice", said the Mayor. "Klagenfurt and Carinthia will offer all fans of football a warm welcome. We are looking forward to an event as impressive as the Football World Championship in Germany", Scheucher said.

The Governor of Carinthia, Dr. Jörg Haider, attended the event in Berlin together with the EURO coordinator of "Kärnten Werbung", Jörg Schretter. "Our guests will feel at home in Carinthia." Haider is pleased about the opportunity that the EURO means for tourism.
Representatives of the host countries talked to the President of the Austrian Football Association, Friedrich Stickler, the President of the German Football Association, Theo Zwanziger, and DFB's Secretary General Wolfgang Niersbach.
