Suprise for Klagenfurt´s football fans

Mayor Harald Scheucher gave away 150 tickets for the UEFA EURO 2008TM matches in Klagenfurt.

A great day for football aficionados in Klagenfurt! Mayor Harald Scheucher gave away 150 tickets for the EURO 2008TM matches in Klagenfurt at a raffle in the Exhibition Grounds Fan Zone.
"I had these tickets at my disposal and wanted to distribute them in the fairest possible way to the people of Klagenfurt", said Scheucher who decided for a raffle in the end.
"One condition for entering the raffle was that contestants had to be residents of Klagenfurt, i.e. all the winners come from Klagenfurt," said Arnulf Rainer, who had his staff check via the Internet if the winners really were residents of Klagenfurt!
The lucky winners won 40 tickets for the match Germany : Poland (8 June), 40 tickets for the match Germany : Croatia (12 June) and 70 tickets for the match Poland : Croatia (16 June) in Klagenfurt.
Free Coca Cola and donuts from McDonalds were offered at the sweepstake.
