The Commander of the Regional Police announced that no noteworthy or criminal EURO offences had been committed since Monday. Yesterday, a team of 30 members of the Croatian police arrived in Klagenfurt. Cooperation with the Slovene police and the border authorities is running smoothly.
As far as fan numbers are concerned, he said that 10,000 Germans and 5,600 Croatians are expected to visit the stadium. All in all, 15,000 German fans and eight to ten thousand Croatian fans are expected to pour into the city.
Public Safety Director Slamanig condemned the fear-mongering in the media. "It is bad to create fear among people. The mood in Klagenfurt is not fearful! It is great, people are in a party mood", he said quite plainly.
