Klagenfurt is ready and has tackled the huge preparation work load well on schedule. This massive job has been handled by an organisational committee with task groups for the individual areas such as transport, legal issues, finances, marketing, PR, stadium, security, etc. This was set up at a very early stage of preparation.

Chairman of the Organisation Committee is the Managing Director of Klagenfurt Stadiongesellschaft DI Manfred Pock. He is also a member of the project steering group, together with the director of the Municipal Authority Dr. Peter Jost and DI Carlos Fernandez de Retana. The political steering committee consists of the presiding board of the city of Klagenfurt, with Mayor Harald Scheucher, Vice-Mayors Maria-Luise Mathiaschitz and Walter Zwick and city councillor Christian Scheider.
All project groups are involved in the preparation of the major event and cooperate with the regional agencies of Carinthia. The Governor of Carinthia and the Mayor of Klagenfurt are also members of the political coordination group.
