The band of seven from Munich, whose music can be categorized somewhere between soul, funk and reggae, will present songs from their album "First. And Then?!" on Neuer Platz on 19th June.

The Neuer Platz fan zone, which continues to be the centre of live coverage and of the event programme of the UEFA EURO 2008T, comes up with numerous top performers by free admission. Thursday will be the turn of a musical band of seven from Munich who are a little bit different.

With their sound, "Sorgente" move between soul, funk, latino beats and reggae rhythms and unite several decades of groove-oriented history of music in their songs. Thus their style cannot be described with just one word. Their album "First. And Then?!" is a compact production that provides modern sound by integrated hip hop beats.

Originally, the band was a mere acoustic group; however, in the past three years they have created a sound that seems to unite 40 years of music history. Furthermore, "Sorgente" particularly captivate with the omnipresent groove and the creative realisation of their sound visions. "Sorgente" is Italian and means "source" and it is exactly such a source that the band seems to extract energy from as regards groove and funkiness.

With their music, the band will bring back summer at least in terms of music. They will perform in the course of the fan zone programme on Neuer Platz on Thursday, 19th June starting at 6pm. Admission is free. From Wednesday on there will also be places to sit in the Neuer Platz fan zone.

At the beginning of March, delegations of fan ambassadors have converged on Klagenfurt to check out preparations for the coming big soccer event for themselves. The Polish, Croatian and German fan embassies got a taste of Klagenfurt's hospitality and are now looking forward to preparing their fans for their time in the south of Austria.

Fan embassies are dedicated facilities for fans and friends of football. During the time of the matches, they are the contact and liaison points for all sorts of matters, be it lost & found services, exchange of tickets, general information or various entertainment for fans from their countries. Fan embassies are professional institutions that serve as number 1 contact point for their fans.

The high point of the visit was the press conference on March 12, where the Mayor of the host city Klagenfurt, Harald Scheucher, welcomed the fan embassies and introduced them to the media.
