Great football event Klagenfurt prepared itself for one of the world's largest sports events for years. The provincial capital of Carinthia was a Host City of the European Football Championship 2008.
Organising comittee draws a positive balance "We have shown that we are able to organise a large event" - that was the positive conclusion drawn by the chairman of the EURO Organising Committee, Manfred Pock last week.
Thanking the German police Mayor Harald Scheucher had warm words of thank you for the German police officers who were on duty in Klagenfurt during the EURO. Scheucher gave a reception for the police in Loretto mansion.
